Extension and Refurbishment
An extension was added and a refurbishment carried out to this detached remote cottage on Romney Marsh (known as the Fifth Continent due to its unique climate specialising in horizontal rain!).
The plastic conservatory was removed, and a new timber framed extension with zinc flat roof constructed to maximise views across the marshes. Rendered insulation was applied to the exposed walls of the main house to improve thermal efficiency.
A new drainage system was installed, the first on the marsh to obtain an Environment Agency permit under the Environment Permitting Regulations 2010.
‘Thank you so much for helping us transform our home in the past year. It has had an overwhelmingly positive impact on our living environment and I can’t thank you enough for that’.
