Whole House Refurbishment in Potential Flood Zone

This whole house refurbishment was carried out in a potential flood zone.  It has been fully insulated externally using two different systems, one of which is water resistant in case of flooding.

The roof was recoverd with slate tiles and converted to a warm roof.  Rooflights were added to bring natural light into the centre of the property and staircase.

All windows were replaced with high performance double glazing in timber frames.

The old conservatory was repalced with an insulated and a highly glazed extension with a roof terrace above.  A new balcony was added to the front of the property, allowing 4 of the 5 bedrooms to have access to raised outside seating areas.

The internal area was reconfigured to create a more efficient and contemporary space.

The owners are pleased to report that their energy bills have almost halved since the refurbishment.
