Conker is delighted to announce that Caring Wood in Maidstone built under PPS7 to Code level 6 has not only won a Regional Award in recognition of its architectural excellence but also the Sustainability Award for the South East.

Conker helped with the selection of insulation materials, most of which were naturally derived wood fibres, minimising the need for petrochemical products; selection of high performance triple glazing; advised on ventilation; ran an airtightness workshop in conjunction with Paul Jennings; and inspected air tightness work on site to assist the main contractor before air leakage tests; assisted the architectural team with airtight and thermal bridge-free detailing.
