Rippledown Finally Gets Windows!
Our longest running project, a straw bale classroom at Rippledown Environmental Education Centre, which started on site in 2006, has just been fenestrated. Pro Glass Systems fitted Rationel Aura triple glazed units into douglas fir subframes that were pinned to the straw bales in 2010. Funding has been an issue. The foundations and rainwater tanks were installed in 2006, the timber frame made from recycled douglas fir in 2009.
We look forward now to the final stage.
