School Replacement Curtain Walling Progress
Steady progress is being made on the replacement fenestration. Solar shading is being erected and new cladding between stories being installed.
Work is on a 10 month programme, working in 15 phases to minimise disruption to the school. The main contractor, Mays Building Services are spot on programme. Windows are being manufactured and delivered in batches to reduce storage on site and allow fine tuning of each order to account for unexpected challenges that arise during dismantling of the old building.
Other works include structural steel supports for windows and shades; fire compartmentation; rewiring; new heating pipework and radiators; new fixed furniture; new lighting to classrooms; new flooring to some areas; and a new roof to a dining area.

We have been deeply impressed by Mays Building Services and their sub-contractors, especially the standard of health and safety.
