Conker’s offices in 1942 following an air raid.

In reprisal for RAF raids on non-military targets in Germany, the Luftwaffe started to target cities of historic significance in the UK based on the ‘Baedeker’ travel guide books. ┬áCities bombed included Exeter, Bath, Norwich, York and Canterbury. ┬áStour Street was hit on 1st June 1942.

Thankfully our relations with Germany are now entirely PASSIV!
