Survey of Listed Oast House

One of the things we enjoy about being a specialist firm is the relationships we build with other like-minded and passionate people. We have been lucky enough to have a long-standing professional relationship with the Godinton House Preservation Trust, providing practical conservation advice to the estate’s management and in house build teams.
Most recently, we surveyed this delightful converted oast house on the Godinton estate alongside the building manager to discuss repair strategies and potential for improving insulation levels within the building. As with any building work, value judgements have to be made balancing all aspects of time, cost, quality as well as conservation and sustainability values.
We came away from this survey feeling that a sensible set of solutions had been agreed with the build team that can now be implemented straightforwardly.
