As we’ve noted previously lime plays a prominent role in our work both as sustainable building designers and as conservators of historic buildings.

We took part in a CPD event at Lime Green’s facility in Shropshire and were joined by contractors and plasterers interested in venturing into lime work.  The focus was on the retro-fitting applications of Lime Green’s products.  Their specially formulated plaster and render mixes can be applied to insulation boards, both internally and externally.  We especially enjoyed the practical and hands-on demonstrations.  The consensus among the professional plasterers was that the lime products were enjoyable and intuitive to work with.  This is in contrast to the common misconception held that these products are more complicated or difficult to work with than their modern counterparts.
